$50 Mammogram Screenings Available in October

MammogramsEven if you do not have insurance, there’s no excuse to not get a mammogram. Early detection of breast cancer saves lives. Give your body the respect it gives you. Schedule an appointment. (A physician’s order for a mammogram is required, except at Summerlin Hospital.)

Tell the person who answers the phone if you’ve had breast surgery, any breast procedures or if you have implants. This offer applies toward a screening mammogram and is not valid for patients with breast implants or pre-existing conditions.

On the day of your procedure:
  1. Bring your physician order, a photo ID and $50 (cash, check or credit card).
    Note: your insurance will not be billed for this mammogram screening.
  2. Check in at the Admitting Department.
  3. Fill out a short info card.
  • This is a screening only and a radiologist may not be available to review your X-rays before you leave. Your results will be mailed to your physician.
  • Special price offer must be paid in full at the time of service and cannot be used in conjunction with any insurance, Medicare or Medicaid.
  • Offer valid weekdays in October.

The Valley Health System Commits to IHI’s 5 Million Lives Campaign to Reduce Medical Harm throughout the Nation

The Valley Health System, which includes Valley, Desert Springs, Summerlin, Spring Valley and Centennial Hills hospitals, has committed to participate in the Institute for Healthcare Improvement’s 5 Million Lives Campaign, a national campaign to dramatically reduce incidents of medical harm in U.S. hospitals. The 5 Million Lives Campaign asks hospitals to improve the care they provide in order to protect patients from five million incidents of medical harm over a 24-month period, ending December 9, 2008. It represents a continuation of the largest improvement effort undertaken in recent history by the healthcare industry.
